Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ScriptPilot, an AI assistant for the Google Apps Script editor provided as a Chrome extension, web application, and hosted backend (the "Service"), operated by ScriptPilot, 1270 Caroline St NE, Ste D120-533, Atlanta, GA 30307, United States ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ScriptPilot connects to your Google Apps Script projects, analyzes them using third-party large language models, and proposes structured edits that you can review and choose to apply. The Service depends on third-party platforms — including Google, AI model providers, and a payment processor — and may change, add, or remove features over time.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You access the Service by signing in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining the security of your credentials. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Your content & permissions
Your Apps Script projects, code, and prompts ("Your Content") remain yours. You grant us a limited license to access, process, transmit, and store Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including sending the relevant code and prompts to third-party AI providers to generate responses and proposed edits, and storing encrypted snapshots so you can review and roll back changes. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this permission for any project you connect.
4. AI output — review before you rely on it
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law or third-party rights, including Google's terms and policies.
- Submit content that infringes intellectual property or contains others' confidential data without authorization.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or circumvent rate limits, security, or access controls of the Service.
- Use the Service to develop a competing product, or to generate malware or abusive content.
- Resell or provide access to the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on Google (sign-in and the Apps Script API), one or more AI model providers (reached by default through the OpenRouter gateway), and Stripe (billing). Your use of those platforms through ScriptPilot is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or output of third-party providers. See our Privacy Policy for what data is shared with whom.
7. Plans, billing, and refunds
- Free and paid tiers. Some features (such as analyzing and proposing edits) are available on the free tier; applying and rolling back changes require a paid subscription. We may change the features included in each tier.
- Subscriptions. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or as described at checkout) through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain paid access until then.
- No refunds. All payments are final and non-refundable, including for partial billing periods and unused time, except where a refund is required by applicable law. If you cancel, you keep paid access through the end of the current billing period. Billing questions: dev@smallbusinessessupport.services.
- Taxes & changes. Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated. We may change pricing prospectively with notice before your next renewal.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks (such as the ScriptPilot name and logo), is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service. We claim no ownership over Your Content or over the code the AI proposes for your project.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CODE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScriptPilot and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Georgia will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where prohibited by applicable law.
